Hot Pants in the Dungeon

With every drawer open and clothes scattered across her bed, Lexi finally found a combination that worked; black fishnet tights under a frilly black tutu with shiny black panties and a deep purple bustier that made her boobs look two sizes bigger. She’d struggled to find shoes until she remembered her army seconds and retied the laces with long red ribbons that were once straps for a dress that she’d recently made strapless. She looked good and the pineapple hairdo she’d created topped the outfit nicely.

She was naturally a loner. No one understood her and she’d stopped trying to make them like her years ago. Now she did the opposite and she liked it. Her parents had given up asking her to be normal and her colleagues stole secret glances which was more than her school friends had done. She didn’t care and everything was good if a little lonely. Although, she had recently purchased a fluffy cat by the name of Simon, he didn’t like her much either.

She spritzed herself with her favorite perfume before her cab arrived to drive her to her destination. The driver had picked her up before, many times, and they sat there in semi-comfortable silence. She checked her dark purple lipstick in her compact while he fastidiously avoided eye contact as normal.

When they arrived she paid the driver, took a deep breath and stepped out onto the pavement like she owned it. That was the impression she wanted to give but in reality her shiny hot pants squeaked on the seat making a fart sound that resonated across the street and probably halfway across the universe. Lucky for her, it was too dark for anyone to see her blush.

She had butterflies as she entered the club which wasn’t called The Dungeon for nothing. It was very dark with black and red walls and electric candles spaced that were too far apart, illuminating two foot ahead if that. She had to touch the walls of the narrow stairway to stop the disorientation. The glow-in-the-dark splatter that started halfway down made the place look even less inviting but she wasn’t the kind of girl who turned a challenge down, ever.

When she reached the bottom, there was a heavy set of doors with old fashioned studs and hinges and she lifted the latch letting herself into the club proper. Music blared, and it was a cross between screamo and classical, a bit dark for her personal taste but it wasn’t loud enough to make her rib cage rattle. The bar was illuminated by neon green bulbs and she made her way through a crowd that were way freakier than her. In fact, she looked pretty tame compared to some of them.

The drink on special was a lime green luminescent liquid with a big straw and a slice of orange. It tasted good but she was sure that her tongue would be green for days and who knew what would happen at the other end.
